Animals
I love to paint animals, to capture their expression, their temperament, to see the love in their eyes. To portray glossy fur, velvet skin, shiny noses is wonderful, and it is a privilege to be given the opportunity to capture your beloved pet.
Landscapes
In my landscape paintings, I try and capture/express the mood of a place, not replicate it photographically, but to use brushstrokes, style, tone, colour to imply what is there. If you look closely that’s what you see, just marks; step back and there’s the view.
